The 2020 Lincoln Corsair recently scored one of the industry’s top honors — a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
Two key achievements helped the 2020 Corsair qualify for recognition from the IIHS. First, it achieved a superior rating for its vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention equipment. The Corsair provides Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking as a standard feature to avert or mitigate collisions. Other key Corsair safety technologies include a Lane-Keeping System, Blind Spot Detection with Cross-Traffic Alert, and available Evasive Steering Assist.
Second, the 2020 Corsair garnered an acceptable rating for its available headlight system, which improves visibility for both drivers and oncoming vehicles. The vehicle’s curve-adaptive LED projector headlights incorporate a pair of advanced technologies. Camera-Based Dynamic Bending Lighting quickly adjusts the direction of the headlight beams to account for curves in the road ahead. Speed-Dependent Lighting alters the brightness and direction of the beams based on how fast the vehicle is traveling.
The 2020 Lincoln Corsair also earned strong ratings in several crash tests to qualify as an IIHS Top Safety Pick. To learn more about all the ways this luxury SUV keeps its occupants safe, visit West Point Lincoln for a test drive.
