In Houston, Texas, nothing signals the end of the winter cold quite like the Azalea Trail event. This year will mark the 83rd year of the celebration, which takes place in River Oaks. Wander through six different locations in the River Oaks neighborhood to take in the beautiful spring blossoms during the first weekend in March.
The Trail begins on Friday, March 2nd at 10:30am, kicking off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony outside the Lazy Lane entrance to Bayou Bend. Admission is $10 per adult, and a free trolley will provide transportation between the different locations, which include Bayou Bend and Rienzi, as well as four different private homes and gardens. You can also tap into the advice from a panel of experts as well as witness floral demonstrations.
The annual Azalea Trail event is an ongoing tradition in Houston, so take part in your community by marking your calendars for this fun spring celebration.
