If you didn’t get the chance to see any of the Houston holiday light shows before Christmas, don’t think that you’ve gotta wait a year to get in on the fun. Many of these shows extend past the busy holidays into part of the New Year. Make sure to put these stops on your list while you still have the chance.
Magical Winter Lights – Until Jan. 6
Head to Gulf Greyhound Park to experience one of the longest-running and largest lantern-lighting festivals in the United States, now in its fourth year. There’s even a festival food court and a holiday market. With a variety of creative lantern sets, visitors will be able to have a unique holiday experience that can’t be found elsewhere.
Zoo Lights – Until Jan. 13
Over 15 miles of two million LED light sets await you at the Houston Zoo, where you will be able to enjoy the zoo’s traditional animal exhibits in addition to tons of beautiful holiday lighting displays as sponsored by TXU Energy. Grab some hot chocolate as you enjoy the scenery at Zoo Lights.
Christmas Village at Bayou Bend – Until Jan. 5
Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens is accessible by a stunning bridge display, and that’s only the first thing you’ll see when you visit this holiday light show. All-ages activities and beautiful displays are offered on all 14 acres of this historic mansion and estate.
If you need a luxurious, refined ride for all of your adventures in the New Year, stop into West Point Lincoln.
