Lincoln Confirms 2020 Lincoln Aviator Performance Specs

2020 Lincoln Aviator | Houston, TX

Lincoln is ready to raise the bar in the luxury SUV segment with the 2020 Lincoln Aviator. This three-row SUV combines powerful performance with efficiency to make it a solid option in the segment. Lincoln recently announced the 2020 Lincoln Aviator performance specs — and this family-friendly luxury vehicle is ready to make a lasting impression out on the road.

“Aviator signals a takeoff point for Lincoln,” says Joy Falotico, president, The Lincoln Motor Company. “It offers unparallel elegance combined with effortless performance — a true representation of Lincoln’s vision for the future.”

Performance-wise, the 2020 Aviator will come equipped with a standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. This powertrain comes paired to an all-new 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission, helping it to put out 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque.

The Aviator also comes available with a hybrid option — the Aviator Grand Touring. This model gets the aforementioned twin-turbocharged engine, combined with advanced electrified technology to produce even better performance numbers. The Grand Touring gets 494 horsepower and a best-in-class 630 combined lb-ft of torque.

With this power, you can also customize your driving experience thanks to Lincoln Drive Modes. Depending on your road conditions or driving habits, you can change your driving modes to Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery, and Deep Conditions. When you get the Aviator Grand Touring, you can also opt for two more modes — Preserve EV to recharge and save the batter for later time and Pure EV to use only all-electric power on the go.

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is the first midsize three-row SUV from Lincoln. Get your hands on yours at West Point Lincoln.

Lincoln Wins Top Luxury Brand in 2019 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards

2019 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards

Lincoln came up quite big in the 2019 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards, earning the title of Highest Satisfaction Premium Brand. A big contributor to this feat is the Lincoln Navigator, which scored the title of Most Satisfying Vehicle Overall as well as the top prize for Luxury SUVs.

“In addition to the exceptionally crafted [Lincoln] Navigator, Lincoln has made a strong push for customer treatment. It’s a hands-on experience that appears to be working,” said AutoPacific president George Peterson. Peterson is referring to the Lincoln Way, a concept that values the customer experience every bit as much as the act of purchasing or leasing a vehicle.

This is embodied in features like Lincoln Black Label, which includes complimentary anytime car washes over the life of your ownership, free annual detailing, and a Culinary Concierge service. Lincoln Black Label Membership also includes membership to the AVIS® President’s Club and CLEAR®, both of which add luxury to travel experiences all around.

The Lincoln Continental was also a standout in the 2019 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards, earning the top prize for Luxury Cars. Whether you’re in the market for the Lincoln Continental, the red-hot Lincoln Navigator, or the all-new Lincoln Nautilus or Lincoln Aviator, you’ll find it — and exceptional service — at West Point Lincoln .

J.D. Power Ranks Lincoln in Top Five in 2019 Initial Quality Study

2019 Initial Quality Study | Houston, TX

Lincoln scored the No. 5 spot in the J.D. Power 2019 Initial Quality Study, making it the highest-ranked American luxury brand on the list. The annual IQS ranks vehicles and brands based on the number of reported problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) in the first 90 days of ownership, and its high placement solidifies Lincoln as one of the absolute best for quality.

Lincoln scored 84 PP100, which was well under the industry average of 93 PP100. What’s more, Lincoln also saw three of its vehicles rank in the top three for their respective segments. The 2019 Lincoln MKC finished second in initial quality among compact premium SUVs, the all-new Lincoln Nautilus ranked third among midsize premium SUVs, and the Lincoln Navigator was one of only two large premium SUVs to get the nod from J.D. Power for quality.

Lincoln isn’t just scoring with its SUVs when it comes to awards — it’s also scoring big with customers. Lincoln sales are up 1.3 percent through June thanks to robust growth from SUVs overall. The Lincoln MKT, Lincoln MKC, Lincoln MKX, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Navigator have combined for sales of 39,109 vehicles through the first half of 2019, up 8.3 percent.

The future is only looking brighter in terms of sales and quality with the launch of the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator, which hits West Point Lincoln this month. To be one of the first to take the Lincoln Aviator for a spin, call, email or stop in to schedule your test drive.

How Did the Lincoln Brand Get its Name?

How Did the Lincoln Brand Get its Name?

Sometimes, brands become so ubiquitous in our lives that we don’t stop to think where their names come from. Do you know how your favorite auto brand got its name? Although the Lincoln brand has come to be synonymous with high-end performance and style, its name has a distinctly all-American history.

Henry Leland founded the Lincoln Motor Company in 1917. Leland was an American inventor and engineer, a proud American, and had voted for Abraham Lincoln in the 1864 election. In its inception, the Lincoln Motor Company was founded to produce aircraft engines for World War I, but in its founding year, it also produced the luxury Lincoln Model L automobile. This sleek, sophisticated vehicle cost significantly more than the Model T, but strong sales numbers lead Lincoln to exclusively produce automobiles following the end of World War I.

In 1922, the company was purchased by Ford and developed into the first Ford luxury brand. Around this same time, a statue of Abraham Lincoln was erected at the headquarters of Lincoln Motor Company in Detroit. In the following years, several new Lincoln vehicles were introduced, leading sales to rise by approximately 45 percent. In the true spirit of the brand, the Lincoln Model L became the first car used by a U.S. president: President Calvin Coolidge. Remarkably, the Lincoln brand upholds its prestigious, presidential history to this day, proudly producing state-of-the-art vehicles that are both classic and modern.

Today, the Lincoln Motor Company is proud to carry on the name of one of this country’s greatest presidents. If you need a ride that’ll have you feeling positively presidential, stop into West Point Lincoln and check out our selection.
